Advice Brighton & Hove wrote to local MP’s after frontline advisers and caseworkers fed back their frustration at the significant delays experienced when calling the tax credits helpline. Most felt that the waiting times have increased over the last 2 months. Unfortunately, HMRC only have data regarding call waiting times up until June 2014 so this could not be verified this with statistics.
